Brief: To produce a typographic poster relating to something that is occuring in the world, relate 20 songs and 20 facts to this and incorporate into your chosen topic.
I decided to base mine on: The decrease in bees!
Bumble bees are slowly dying out, which would result in no fruit and vegetables, no animals, and then no humans! The world would be a dark dark place, and many of us do not realise the vital part that bees play within our lives.

I was interested on how bees are dying - i felt this would be portrayed strongly by using type. The point size of the type has been reduced as the text flows down the page. This is to signify that bees are running out. The smaller the text the harder it is to see.

To portray this message further, all of the B's have been highlighted yellow. One of the colours that make up the bees appearance. Again, the opacity of the yellow has been been reduced as the type flows. To highlight this even further, the B's have been removed completely.

DEGREE SHOW DESIGN: FURTHER DEVELOPMENT.

From working in a team of fellow Graphic Design Students we created some new stickers. This allows for diversity - and they all look great.

Here is the final image:

For our degree show exhibition - we are designing a:

SIGNAGE
WEBSITE

The designs will be posted soon! We are currently working on the leaflet and poster.

Cant wait to post the further designs!

A recent brief was to design a theme for our final ever exhibition, I worked on this with a fellow student & friend, Jamie Baldwin.

This was our outcome.
Our University is closing down this year, so we are the last to ever have an exhibition at Pittville Studios. Our idea was based on this theme, a generic suitcase to represent the leave. All students are flying off as well as the campus.

All of Pittville experience inside this little lovely vintage suitcase.

We designed stickers that represent Pittville. To also keep the theme, we designed some luggage tags.

It is going to be sad to see this campus full of creativity being shut down :(

All of the students in 3rd year completed this brief, and this was then voted by students on whose design was liked the most.

It was an overwelming delight to be told that our design was voted for.

More posts to follow on how our idea/work develops in order to make the last ever exhibition at Pittville remembered forever.

A university brief that I completed in my second year - 'an indepth study into something you are interested in.' - Obviously mine was SLEEP.

I recorded my sleeping pattern over a month and my outcome was produced into pillows. The first thing you hit your head on when going to bed!

Here are the series of pillows:
